Billy Joel: We Didn't Start The Fire - Another Quick History Lesson

A great song by Billy Joel.
This song has always impressed me as have many other songs Billy Joel has done.It has been around for quite some time, but then again I have frequently posted old songs.

As an ex-teacher I see a lot of merit in the lyrics: consider the content and the chronological events from 1949 – 1989.

I have lived through them all, although I was too young to appreciate the earlier references.

You could do a whole lesson, or even more, on just one of the people or events mentioned here.

Full marks to crlax22 for making this fantastic clip!
Well over 2 million hits and much deserved.

It must have taken quite a while to get all the images together in perfect co-ordination with the lyrics!

Ingenious song writer and ingenious videographer!

Can't help but wonder what it would be like if Billy Joel ever did a sequel to this song....the mind boggles!

A lot has happened since 1989.
