The Rolling Stones will continue until they can’t play
anymore.
The Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, 71, talked to Rolling Stone, telling them that he’s not even thinking about retirement. “I’m planning the next set of tours, so the answer is really, “No, not really.””
Jagger and the Stones will be launching their Zip Code Tour of the U.S. on May 24 and have dates scheduled through mid-July, then it might be time for a new album.
“It would be very nice and I’ve got a lot of new songs and songs I’ve written over the last couple of years. I’ve done really good demos for all of them, which I would love to record.”
As far as the tour goes, don’t look for Mick Taylor to be coming along again nor does it sound like there will be any complete performances of Sticky Fingers.
“We’re floating the idea of doing the whole album. I played it – and it’s a really great album – but it’s got a lot of slow songs. I’m just worried that’s a bit problematic for a stadium.”
He went on to say they do plan on playing a few songs from the album that have been unheard live for many years.

A sought-after, rare club performance from The Rolling Stones in 1971 filmed at London’s iconic Marquee Club will finally see the light of day, after almost two decades of being stored away in an attic. The Rolling Stones From The Vault: The Marquee – Live in 1971 will be released on DVD in four formats and on iTunes via Eagle Rock on 22 June 2015.
This remarkable performance was filmed for US television in 1971, shortly after The Rolling Stones had completed their 1971 Farewell Tour of the UK, and a month before the release of the album Sticky Fingers. The gig marked the first time tracks ‘Brown Sugar’, ‘Dead Flowers’, ‘Bitch’ and the rarely performed ‘I Got The Blues’ were showcased live; four tracks taken from the Sticky Fingers album. The line-up at this time was Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Mick Taylor and Bill Wyman.
The show was an intimate, rare club appearance and very little footage has been released, until now. Part of the “From The Vault” series of live concerts from the band’s archive, The Rolling Stones From The Vault: The Marquee – Live In 1971 is a must own DVD for any Stones fan, featuring carefully restored footage and sound mixed to perfection by Bob Clearmountain, including 5.1 surround sound on the DVD and SD Blu-ray formats.
The release of The Rolling Stones From The Vault: The Marquee – Live In 1971 coincides with the special edition of album Sticky Fingers, and includes alternative takes of ‘I Got The Blues’ and ‘Bitch’, plus a Top of the Pops performance of ‘Brown Sugar’ from 1971.

Keith Richards will release a third solo album and his first in 23 years in September.
Richards confirmed to Rolling Stone USA that the album was complete and will be out later this year. “I think that’s coming out in September,” he said. “Just done, yeah. We’re looking for the right time slot to bring it out. The Stones have been working so much lately that I’ve been holding off until we could find a reasonable time. I think it’s September, but I don’t know for sure.
Richards also confirmed players on the record, “Steve Jordan and me,” he said. “We’re joined here and there by Waddy Wachtel and Bernard Fowler. Steve and I put it together”.
Jordan and Watchel also played in Richards’ first solo record ‘Talk Is Cheap’ in 1988 and Jordan, Watchel and Fowler were on the second album “Main Offender’ in 1992.
Wachtel and Jordan also toured with Richards and played on his 1991 live album.
Richards’ solo albums went relatively unnoticed in their day. ‘Talk is Cheap’ peaked at no 24 in the USA and no 37 in the UK, ‘Talk Is Cheap’ peaked at no. 99 in the USA and no. 45 in the UK.
